Family Ties
I am starting to realize how important the ties you have with your family shape and run through your life. I know someone who lost contact with her extended family. She now is talking to her cousins and seeing the family ties are still there. So much time passes but yet sometimes it seems time stands still when you see the kids you used to play with as a child.
I spoke to someone today who started to talk about the big holiday gatherings in her house when she was a child and shared a favorite story of her and her cousin. She could not help but have a big smile on her face as she told the family story! She still is going to family gatherings except the crowd is much older.
I know someone else who talks about their family stating their faults and how she does not get along with them but yet the minute a problem arises she is there helping lend a hand.
I have someone else who has been estranged from her sister but now their mother is sick and needs long term care and they are rallying together for the sake of “family”
So I guess the family ties are the true ties that bond………………….
