Saving for a rainy day
There are times we need to go out and have an adventure….I am always telling the story of someone I knew who wanted a house more than anything in the world for her and her family so she scrimped and saved up over $30,000 for a down payment. She would not let her husband buy her presents or take her out for any occasion and she worked 2 jobs. She finally saved the money and looked for a house to find out she had terminal lung cancer. She passed away without ever buying the house. It made me realize you need to live your life and not always worry about tomorrow for tomorrow may not come…. You always tell your kids to save for the future and that is true but you need to enjoy your life to the fullest every day. Live your life like it could be the last day. Make sure you always tell everyone around you how you feel about them. When my own father passed away I did not have the chance to be at his bedside but everyday my whole life I always showed him how much I loved him . Now that the nice weather is here I have a bird feeder on my deck and I sit and watch the birds every morning. It feels so good and I am very happy to make it part of my morning routine. I feed the birds which makes them happy I watch them which makes me happy…. So needless to say if I died tomorrow I could say even if just a little while I did stop and smell the roses and BOY did they smell good!!!!!!!!!!!!! ♦ I wish I could stand on a busy corner, hat in hand, and beg people to throw me all their wasted hours. ~Bernard Berenson
